Warriors On Horde Faction – Pick the Best Racials

Warrior is one of the more popular classes in World of Warcraft, and for good reason. These plate wearing monsters are consistently one of the better DPS classes, boss tanks, and PvPers around. And there is something great about playing something as basic as heavily armored weaponsmaster. We’ll discuss which races on the Horde side are best for various purposes, from tanking to PvP to DPS.

We’ll talk about Forsaken first. They don’t really bring anything special to the table as far as DPS does. For tanking,

Will can occasionally be useful, but will sit unused during the vast majority of encounters. For PvP, undead used to be the best, but these days Will shares a cooldown with PvP trinkets, making them passable but nothing special.

The leaders of the Horde, Orcs, are up next on our list. Orcs aren’t particularly good for Tanking, their racials are mostly useless. For DPS, Ax Expertise and Blood Fury both add a decent bit, making Orc one of the better DPS races. For PvP, their DPS boost and the 15% reduction of stuns are both good, making them acceptable PvPers.

The cow-people are up next. Tauren are amazing Tanks, thanks to their boosted health, and the occasional Warstomp when trash gets out of control. Unfortunately, though, as DPS their racials don’t really contribute anything. For PvP they are amazing for the same reasons they make good tanks; extra health and a AoE stun are both great benefits.

Though they lack in popularity, Trolls make good warriors. They make one of the best DPS races in the game, thanks to Berserking. For Tanking they don’t really have anything worthwhile, although Regeneration might be worth something. For PvP, the burst of Berserking and the duration reduction of movement impairing CC both benefit them greatly.

So which races are best for which purposes? Tauren is the clear winner for PvP, now that Undead is getting nerfed. For DPS, you want Troll or Orc; Orc is better when wielding Axes, Troll otherwise. Since a lot of top-end weapons are axes right now, Orc is probably the better choice. And finally, Tauren once again are the best, this time for Tanking.

So, that’s it for this article on Horde racials for warriors. Tauren is my personal top pick; doing a few dozen more damage every second is nice, but having more health on the tank can mean the difference between a wipe and downing the boss. The Prince and the Showgirl – Somewhat decent but slow moving comedy of saucy American show gal Monroe being courted by Prince Regent of Carpathia (Olivier) throughout the 1911 coronation of George V. Filmed in England, with marvelous performances by Monroe and Olivier. Cast includes Marilyn Monroe, Laurence Olivier, Sybil Thorndike, Jeremy Spencer, and Richard Wattis. (117 minutes, 1957)

Like Water for Chocolate – Striking and sensuous film from a book by Laura Esquivel set in the early part of the 20th century – a young girl’s life is conditioned by her serious and steadfast mother, who treats her terribly. Magnificent story, not without humor, with an exceptional cast and a top of the line performance from lead actress Cavazos. Cast includes Lumi Cavazos, Marco Leonardi, Regina Tome, Mario Ivan Martinez, and Ada Carrasco. (113 minutes, 1992)

Inferno – American returns to N.Y. from school in Rome to examine the shocking death of his sibling, and finds “sinister moms” wreaking paranormal disorder on both sides of Atlantic. Surreal, mesmerizing shocker by Italian terror maestro Argento doesn’t make much sense, but it has a lot of style. Cast includes Leigh McCloskey, Irene Marvel, Sacha Pitoeff, Daria Nicolodi, Eleonora Giorgi, Veronica Lazar, and Alida Valli. (107 minutes, 1984)

Rampage – Pregnant Long Island housewife, not able to deal with married life escapes her spouse and picks up a simple minded football player on the street. Cast includes Michael Biehn, AIex McArthur, Robert Duvall, Marya Zimmet, Tom Aldredge, and Laurie Crewes. (97 minutes, 1992)
